Esenboğa Airport is the international airport serving Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It is within the borders of Akyurt and Çubuk districts, 28 km north of the city center. It entered service in 1955. Esenboğa, Turkey's first airport to host domestic and international lines, is the country's fourth largest airport in terms of passenger traffic.
